Community Food Matters -March 2010 Newsletter
Well it has almost been a year since I have posted a newsletter here. My apologies!!! Here is the March 2010 newsletter.
We want to make it easier for you to attend Community Food Matters meetings, so we're now planning them in advance, consistently on the same day every month. The third Tuesday of every month is the day! The next meeting will be Tuesday, April 20th 11:30 am-1:00 pm in the Fairview Room, United Church. We strive for a structured agenda as well as some time for networking. Meetings are brown bag lunch meetings, are very informal and you are most welcome to attend!

Vegetable Gardening in the Kootenays Course
Mad Dog Farm is a small farm of 28 acres in Tarrys, halfway between Castlegar and Playmor Junction on Highway 3A. As growers, we have a passion for growing, we have a passion for local agriculture and we have a passion for preserving heritage varieties of vegetables and other food crops. After ten years of growing in the Kootenays, we have made probably just about every mistake it is possible to make whilst following ‘text book’ advice. Save yourselves time, trouble and heartache by learning the lessons we have learnt, and the tricks, tips and techniques we have learnt the hard way.
